Detail itinerary

Day 1 – Hochiminh city arrival
Arrive in HCMC and transfer to your hotel. Check in, free at leisure for the rest of day and overnight in HCMC.

Day 2 : Saigon-Cuchi tunnel-City tour
In the morning, depart Ho Chi Minh City for a drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Leaving the bustling city behind the scenery begins to change; first to lush rice paddies, then to rubber plantations, and finally to villagers drying noodles by the side of the road and going about their daily chores. On arrival start the visit with the Ben Dinh or Ben Duoc sections of the tunnel, an immense network of connecting underground tunnels located in the Cu Chi district in the suburb of HCMC. Back to Hochiminh city for lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch, visit to War Museum which contains exhibits relating to the phase of the war against American and the former Presidential Palace that was the home and workplace of the President of Southern Vietnamese govenment during the Vietnam War, from there on you will go on foot (the car will be available at all times) to visit the major sights of colonial Ho Chi Minh City: the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Opera House and then enjoy funny shopping at the historic Ben Thanh market. Enjoy a cruise dinner which is a different experience and the perfect way to see the panoramic view of the vibrant city lights along the Saigon River with  live Vietnamese traditional music performace. Overnight in HCMC(B,L,D)

Day 3 - Ho Chi Minh City-Cai Be-Tra On (Mekong Delta)
Leave Ho Chi Minh City for Cai Be by road. Arrival at Caibe, board your boat at around noon, Depart towards Cho Lach on the Tien Giang River and enjoy lunch on the upper deck while the boat is cruising. Rest on the deck or enjoy the open bar while the ship branches into Cho Lach Canal for 30 minutes through the traffic of sand and rice barges, in scenery of fruit drying facilities and wooden ship building yards. Visit a village on the banks of river Mang Thít, an opportunity to appreciate the way of life and hospitality of the local inhabitants. Visit of the orchard or rice fields nearby. After re-boarding, complimentary welcome drinks are served. Open bar and rest on the deck enjoying the sunset. The crew will serve dinner while the boat is cruising Mang Thit River. The boats sets anchor in front of Phuoc Huu Pagoda, in Tra On for the night. (B,L,D)

Day 4 - Tra On-Can Tho-Chaudoc
Enjoy breakfast while the ship is cruising towards Tra On floating market then departs for Can Tho. Arrival in Cai Rang floating market, check out and transfer onto a local boat to visit the floating market, the nearby arroyos and gardens and return to the Ninh Kieu Pier in Can Tho where our guide and car pick you up and drive for Chaudoc which is 120 km from Cantho, en-route, visit the bamboo basket-making hamlet of Long Thanh before visiting a big Crocodile farm. Lunch en-route then head  to Chau Doc, situated on the Cambodian border. Check in at your hotel after arrival. After a short refreshment,  take a boat to visit the unique farms where fish are bred in wooden cages suspended under floating houses on the river and continue by boat to visit a village of stilt houses belonging to the Cham minority where colourful traditional textiles are woven on old wooden looms. Return to dry land in time to drive up Sam Mountain to watch the sunset over the Cambodian border. Dinner and overnight in Chau Doc. (B,L,D)

Day 5 - Chau Doc-Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, driving back to Ho Chi Minh City, en-route you can visit Xeo Quyt base in Dong Thap which was a revolutionary base during the anti-French and US resistance wars, the 20ha cajeput forest of present-day Xeo Quyt has been reclaimed and become an attractive historical and ecological tourist site in the southern delta or alternatively visit Tra Su forest which is around 25 km from Chau Doc, with the wild nature as well as the peace and profound beauty, Tra Su Indigo forest is an interesting destination that you should not miss when you visit Chau Doc. On arrival at HCMC at late afternoon, check in and overnight in HCMC (B,L)

Day 6 - Ho Chi Minh City departure
Breakfast at your hotel, free at leisure till being transferred to HCMC airport for your onward flight. (B)
