Insight Mekong Delta

In the early morning, leave the busy streets of Ho Chi Minh City and drive deep into the Mekong Delta.

On arrival at Ben Tre Pier, cruising on the Ben Tre River, a tributary of the Mekong River, glide along the mangrove trees that grow along the waterway's shore. Observe the lively activities of the town market on land and watch as fishing boats and coconut cargo boats navigate the waterway. In Nhon Thanh village, you can visit handmade local workshops and learn about the country's culture.

Visit the traditional brickwork site to witness the process of making bricks by hand. Turn on the Cai Son canal and wind through the coconut jungle. Visit the coconut workshop and observe the stages of coconut processing, from husk removal to prize extraction and hand peeling. Travel along a small waterway and pause at the coconut candy workshop. See how they make the candy by hand, sample some sweets, enjoy some fruits, and take in the local music. Continue your journey by boat, disembark, and walk a short distance to the farmer's house, where he is currently manufacturing sleep mats.

Take a tuktuk ride through the coconut groves, immersing yourself in the country's coconut jungle. Stop for lunch at the local restaurant. Relax and continue your journey by rowing on the shady palm tree canal.

Disembark, then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City at late evening.
