Tour Plan
A local guide will lead you through Hanoi's culinary scene, starting with a visit to Dong Xuan, the largest covered market in the city. The guide will provide an in-depth understanding of Vietnamese food culture, including ingredients and historical backgrounds of popular northern dishes. You'll eat as you go, sampling seasonal fruits and a famous Vietnamese baguette called banh mi.
After exploring the market, you'll walk through Hanoi's Old Quarter, where you can try the famous Hanoi dish banh cuon at a local eatery. As you explore the Old Quarter, you'll pass by street stalls and residential lanes, offering a glimpse of local life. You'll also try bun cha, a classic Vietnamese dish with grilled fatty pork and white rice noodles and herbs.
Next, you'll be introduced to grilled nem chua, a fermented pork roll, and fresh fruit salad. Your local guide will take you to a hidden café with stunning views of Hoan Kiem Lake, where you can sample egg coffee, a local delicacy. If coffee isn't your style, you can enjoy a cold beer.
After the tour, you can explore the area or have your guide assist you with directions or a taxi back to your hotel.
