Tour Plan

Arrive at Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage site that is renowned for its well-preserved traditional architecture, historic temples, and beautiful natural surroundings. Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at to the hotel to check in. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

An early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning almsgiving ritual for saffron-clad monks. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving this procession and we continue to explore the morning market to sightsee the sales foods on display. Transfer back to the hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast, we will travel by boat up the tea-colored waters of the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves. Numerous large and small Buddha statues that devotees have left behind are present in the caves. You’ll be amazed to see how many are packed in! Along the way, you will stop at a riverside Ban Xang Khong village to see the famous weavers working on ancient looms before returning to town.

In the afternoon, visit and enjoy a tour of the city's oldest temple, Wat Sene, and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, where you can see the impressive "tree of life" mosaic set in colored glass.

We then explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textile made by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.   Overnight in Luang Prabang.

After breakfast, visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a precious collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. In the early afternoon, we depart for a 1-hour drive south to one of Luang Prabang’s most picturesque sights, the Kuang Si waterfall. Once at the waterfalls, take a leisurely hike through the national park towards the Kuang Si waterfalls and pass by the Asian Bear Rescue Center. For the more adventurous, continue to the top of the main waterfall. Swimming in the refreshing waters is possible, although between November and January the water temperature is very cool.

On the way back to Luang Prabang, we will take a short visit to the Ock Pop Tock Living Craft Center, set serenely close to the Mekong. This beautiful, traditionally styled workshop, where weavers, spinners, and batik makers produce top-quality fabrics, offers free tours every half-hour. This is also one of the best spots to admire the sunset in Luang Prabang.

Back to the city, we climb up to Phousi Mountain, which offers a panoramic view of the city and the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Experience an exciting day at Elephant Village Camp, Luang Prabang, with an immersive adventure. Start with an 8:00 am pick-up from your hotel, followed by a warm welcome and briefing at the camp. Feed elephants, visit the elephant hospital, and explore the dung paper-making facility. Learn the art of being a Mahout as you discover how to communicate with these majestic animals. Afterward, enjoy a scenic boat trip to Tad Sae Waterfall for swimming and relaxation. Savor a delicious buffet lunch with vegetarian options before departing for Vang Vieng. You'll then board an express train, arriving in Vang Vieng in the evening, with a transfer to your hotel for check-in. Stay overnight in Vang Vieng.

After breakfast, visit Tham Chang (Jang) cave, one of the most important caves of Vang Vieng, as well as a temporary home for farmers who raise vegetables nearby. You will see crystal clear water running out of the mountain into the river, charming landscapes of the villages, and rice fields.

We then go to the famous Blue Lagoon for relaxing and swimming in the crystal water before we continue to take a boat ride along the Nam Song River to explore the wonderful spectacular scenery and limestone formations and take beautiful photos of the mountainous countryside.

Overnight in Vang Vieng.

After breakfast, transfer by road to Vienna.

Vientiane arrived first and visited Wat Si Muang first, which is known for its supernatural power. Next, we will depart for the visit to Buddha Park, a charming collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures on the banks of the Mekong, near the "Bridge of Friendship.". There are approximately 200 religious images more than 500 years old, which were created by a mysterious monk who extended his philosophy of life and revealed his ideas about the universe.

Afternoon, we will see the main symbols of the city, including the oldest, the Wat Sisaket, the temple of thousands of tiny statues of the Buddha image in the ancient Wat Prakeo, which had been famous in its time for hosting the Emerald Buddha. On the way to the national icon of Laos, the famous and sacred That Luang Stupa structure, we will stop to take some photographs of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is known as a particular Laotian "Arc de Triumphed.". A spectacular sunset view over the Mekong will be the ideal way to end the day.

Overnight in Vientiane.

After breakfast free and easy in the morning until our driver (no guide) will transfer to Luang Prabang airport to take the departure flight.
