Tour Plan

Our knowledgeable guide and friendly driver will pick you up from your hotel. We will proceed to Tho Ha Rice Paper Village, which is approximately 35 km away and will take approximately 1.5 hours to reach.

Tho Ha Rice Paper Village, located in the Vietnamese countryside, is a unique and captivating destination for travelers. The village is known for its traditional rice paper production, where artisans craft delicate sheets by hand. Visitors can witness the intricate process, from soaking rice to drying the finished product. The village also boasts ancient houses with nostalgic stories and stories of generations past.

Next, we will visit Xuan Lai Burnt Bamboo Furniture Village, which has been in operation for at least 150 years. Xuan Lai bamboo furniture is unique due to its dark brown color, which requires time and sweat. Bamboos are soaked in ponds for several months to increase flexibility, then cleaned, removed knots, dried, and scorched in kilns made from clay and straw. Decomposed straw is the only fuel for scorching, ensuring smoke-free burning. The kiln seals the bamboos for at least four days, ensuring their shine, smoothness, and renowned dark color.

The village artisans transform bamboo into various items, such as beds, benches, tables, lamps, trays, swings, and even creative bamboo pictures.

We will return you to your hotel in Hanoi at late evening.
