In North Vietnam, your base will be Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi. And you visit Hoang Su Phi; this is a district located on the west side of Ha Giang province, close to the border with China. Hoang Su Phi is famous for its rice field terraces, especially on the road between Hoang Su Phi and Xin Man, where they are classified as a National Heritage by the Vietnamese Government. Trekking through this untouched area, you will encounter the stunning countryside as well as the fascinating local culture and you may come across the NungIng, Tay, Red Dao, Dao Ao Dai, La Chi and Co Lao, just some of the many hill tribe groups who have settled here.
Whether you’re seeking an intrepid outdoor adventure amongst the elements or simply a leisurely escape, Hoang Su Phi is bound to be a memorable experience.
You will continue your trip with a relaxing cruise on a deluxe junk in gorgeous Halong Bay, the perfect conclusion to an unforgettable journey. Bai Tu Long Bay and its isolated limestone islands will be explored; many of these islands have pristine, protected beaches that are only accessible by kayak, as well as dramatic sea caves.
Next, you will head to Central Vietnam to the old imperial capital, Hue, and the UNESCO World Heritage town of Hoi An, where you will whet your appetite with a cooking class and fishing with the locals. You will also be able to indulge in stopping off at local villages and cycling quiet back roads.

You will explore the fascinating Old Quarter and its hundreds of specialty shops selling silk clothing, lacquerware, embroidered linens, furniture, bamboo, cooking utensils, ceremonial objects, and more. Then you can walk around Hoan Kiem Lake and ride a cyclo to dinner in one of the French colonial villas that have been converted into gourmet restaurants. Of course, there’s plenty of time to enjoy people watching at stylish cafes and shopping for impressive modern art in the city’s myriad galleries. You will also visit Hanoi‘s main cultural attractions, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his House on Stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Fine Arts Museum, the Temple of Literature, the Thang Long Imperial Citadel (a UNESCO-designated World Heritage site) or the Vietnam Ethnology Museum. You will have an overnight stay in Hanoi.
You have the opportunity before your hiking day to enjoy your breakfast from the Pan Hou Village restaurant and, if you have gotten up early, a time in gardens of the eco lodge maintained by the tays gardeners.
You leave Pan Hou with your local guide at 9am to explore the nearby mountains through tropical forests and rice terraces. After a three-hour walk, you are taking a break in a village of the Red Dao for lunch. By necessity, they have sculted the mountainside and use its water courses to grow rice. These laborious adjustments that enable them to live in the heights offer you some unique landscapes to contemplate. The cooler climate and fresh water in abundance also contribute to the growth of lush tea trees. Before reaching another Red Dao village, a two-hour walk will allow you to discover the local vegetation, meet with the local people and observe them in their daily activities. And overnight at local homestay.

After having breakfast with your hosts, you are resuming your trekking through the cassava fields, the forests, and the tea plantations towards the valley. Three hours of walking are bringing you to Nam Nghi, a Red Dao village for a lunch break. You will continue your Hike by ascending the mountains through the tea plantations. You will arrive in the late afternoon to a H’mong family house where you will have dinner and will spend the evening and night.

You can enjoy the calm of this morning in the high mountains and the friendliness of the family around the fireplace. After breakfast, you will be transferred back Hanoi and then overnight in Hanoi
Leave Hanoi for the tranquility of Bai Tu Long Bay. Cruise through a mesmerizing landscape of limestone karsts and hidden coves, savoring a delicious lunch with panoramic views. Explore the mystical Co Cave, then unwind on the pristine shores of Hon Co Island. As the sun sets, kayak through tranquil waters or simply relax on deck, soaking in the magic. Indulge in a captivating fruit carving demonstration and a delightful dinner under the stars. Greet the day with a revitalizing Tai Chi session as the sun rises over Bai Tu Long Bay. Enjoy breakfast with breathtaking views before kayaking through the hidden lagoons of Cong Dam, a geological park teeming with wildlife and pristine beaches. As you cruise towards Thay Cave, another hidden gem awaiting exploration, savor your lunch. Paddle through its mystical chambers, then return to your junk for a delightful dinner under the stars. Embrace the serenity of a final dawn in Halong Bay with a rejuvenating Tai Chi session. Bid farewell to your floating haven with a leisurely brunch as you cruise back to the port, then transfer back to Hanoi and take a flight to Hue.

Breakfast will be served before you board a private dragon boat for a cruise on the romantic Perfume River. The charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda) will be the first stop of the day, and from here you will continue your journey to the magnificent tombs of Minh Mang and Tu Duc, Hue Citadel, the Imperial City, and the Forbidden Purple City. Today you’ll take a breathtaking drive from Hue to Hoi An via Danang city. In Danang, you can visit the Cham Museum and Buddhist cave temples in the Marble Mountains. Once in Hoi An, you will check into your hotel and have some free time to explore and enjoy the resort facilities and turning in for the night.
From the 16th to 18th centuries, Hoi An was a thriving international commercial port for Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese, and Arab traders. Trading was primarily for high-grade silk, which is still produced in the area, as well as ceramics. Today, Hoi An is a quaint riverside town, popular with tourists for its eclectic architecture, tailors shops, and numerous cafes. Some of the buildings in the narrow streets have remained unchanged for more than a century. You will enjoy a half-day cycling tour through the narrow winding streets of the Ancient Quarter, visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200-year-old Tam Ky ancestral house, and the Japanese Bridge. Following the tour, there will be free time for shopping, including visits to local tailors who can do custom-made clothing very quickly. Then, you’ll take a break and have a peaceful evening stay.
Today you will take a short morning flight from Danang to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), the country’s commercial centre and home to a growing number of upscale restaurants and shops. you will take a half-day private excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels. At its height, the tunnel system stretched over 250 km, from Saigon to the Cambodian border, and was three levels deep. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today, the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction, giving you a unique experience and a feel of what underground life during the U.S.-Vietnam War must have been like. Then relax in your hotel and fall restfully asleep
You will be picked up at 8 am from your hotel and set off for the 4-hour drive north to Nam Cat Tien National Park. The park was established in 1998 and is actually comprised of two separate areas, Nam Cat Tien and Cat Loc, which are linked by the Dong Nai River. Together, they cover around 185,000 acres of evergreen rainforest, which is home to an amazing array of flora and fauna. Arriving around 12 am, you will enter the park and the staff of Forest Floor Lodge will welcome you and take you to the resort by the electric car. After check-in, you will have lunch at the restaurant of the Forest Floor Lodge, which faces the river and jungle.
At 2 pm, your guide will meet you at the reception area for a walking tour into the jungle to discover the plant and animal life. Next, you will have free time to explore on your own, go biking, or just relax. At 7 pm, you will take an electric car to the restaurant at the center of the park for dinner. After the dinner, you will have a private Jeep take you for an hour of animal watching before returning for an overnight stay at the lodge.
Rising early to the sounds of the forest, you will have breakfast before meeting your driver at 7:30. You will leave for a trip to Tien Island Lake. The jeep takes you 20 minutes (10 km) from the lodge to the trekking point, where you will start a 1-hour trek for about 5 km.

At Dao Tien, we specialise in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of endangered primates naturally found in the surrounding region, and our resident primates have all been victims of the illegal wildlife trade. Before heading back to lodge for lunch. At 2 pm, you will commence your return journey to Ho Chi Minh City, where you will arrive at 6 pm.
You’ll probably be both refreshed and wanting to wind down your trip, so there are no activities planned for this day. Enjoy your free time and the last page of your travel until you are escorted to the airport for your flight on your way home or wherever your travels take you.
